Curators administer affairs of museums and conduct scientific research
programs. They direct activities concerned with instructional,
research, and public service objectives of institutions. Archivists
appraise, edit, and direct safekeeping of permanent records and
historically valuable documents, and participate in research activities
based on archival materials. Museum Technicians and Restorers prepare
specimens for museum collection and exhibits, such as fossils, skeletal
parts, lace, and textiles. They may restore documents or install,
arrange, and exhibit materials.
